Sourcing Manager

The Venue Consultant (Sourcing Manager) will source suitable venues on behalf of our corporate client. To exceed client expectations by delivering a high quality and professional service always.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Understand client service level agreement and contractual requirements
  • Keep up-to-date with individual client's processes and procedures
  • Manage all e-mails sent to client's GRME address
  • Inquiry Process -- understand and accurately detail the client brief
  • Research Process -- identify a list of suitable venues to contact
  • Create venue RFP, GRME hotel response form and venues sourced list
  • Contact list of suitable venues by phone, e-mail or external online sourcing platform to check availability of brief
  • Submit proposal with available options and discuss options with client
  • Negotiate rate and terms and conditions with the venue
  • Organize site visits for the client and attend where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate spend
  • Maximize leverage opportunities
  • Achieve first rate savings in line with client's agreed KPIs
  • Re-negotiate rates at final stage
  • Finalize details and request the contract
  • Understand client's addendum to send with contract request
  • Confirm booking on Mentor and any other booking platform as required, track rack and first rate savings
  • Ensure commission is detailed correctly in Mentor
  • Maximize commission opportunities at all times
  • Ensure that you are always proposing the right venue at the price
  • Maximizing clients savings and negotiate additional added value items
  • Manage and minimize any financial exposure to the company
  • Data integrity -- keep Mentor up to date on a regular basis

Financial Management Develop Relationships

  • Attend venue familiarization trips and site visits, complete GRME site inspection form and present on properties to Venue Sourcing Team
  • Represent GRME at exhibitions where appropriate
  • Attend client meetings and presentations where appropriate
  • Attend GRME client events where appropriate

General

  • Attend venue presentations in the office
  • Attend training courses relevant to the role
  • Keep up to date on the industry through websites and periodicals
  • Ensure any issues that should be escalated are communicated to the appropriate person
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of sickness or vacations
  • Ensure that duties are carried out in the most professional manner
  • Know and adhere to GRME company procedures and policies

Job Requirements Skills and Experience Essential

  • 2-3 years industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
